Again – welcome to this blog! I’m Dee Baty, a follower of Christ. I’m married, and enjoy spending time with my spouse and my dogs. Originally from NJ, I’ve traveled a bit and spent most of my adult life in the SE part of the USA. I’m a big CS Lewis and Tolkien fan, enjoy photography, kayaking, hiking / backpacking, cycling, rock climbing, gardening, travel and good conversations with friends. I’m a Physical Therapist, and enjoy wilderness medicine, working with multi-sport adventure / endurance athletes, and using my medical skills on the mission field whenever I can. Currently I’m spending time volunteering for environmental and other causes and working PRN in a variety of clinics.
I started this blog because I wanted to have one place to gather and post these thoughts outside of Facebook. Unfortunately, I don’t think that anyone who only gets to know me through this blog site will be able to see me in a well-rounded way. There is a great deal of life that goes on outside these pages, and these words are only a small glimpse. But I think that it’s important to give writing a go, with all it’s limitations.
If you’re new here, you might want to scroll back through the archives and read these posts in the order in which they were posted, as I included several series which build on one another. You can also find a list of the articles organized by topic under the Table of Contents tab. Thanks for taking the time to read!
